The third mission of the Department of Law is rooted in activity that has always characterised the Departments of Law, involved not only in traditional research and higher education, but also in the continuing training of practitioners in the legal and consultancy professions: from preparing for access to the regulated professions (such as lawyers, notaries, magistrates, labour consultants) to professional refresher courses, research and consultancy in favour of local authorities, public bodies and private individuals.
In recent years, the commitment of the Department of Law at the University of Bergamo in these areas has been more structured and formalised.
In particular, the production of public goods of a social, educational and cultural nature by the Department of Law, resulting from the numerous public engagement initiatives of the Department and its members, is growing strongly.
The Department has collaborations and agreements with local authorities and civil society representatives, through which it carries out continuous education activities, raising of cultural awareness on issues such as gender equality and the preparation of studies on Smart Lands and the "other" economy.
